Job description
Black Cap Electric has immediate openings for the position of Meter Installer in Dayton. This individual must be highly motivated, self-directed, and effective in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and time management skills.
Meter Installers work independently outdoors in all seasons and receive bonuses based on individual productivity. COVID-contagion risks have been examined and reduced by best known practice. We hire vaccinated candidates.
Technicians will receive approximately 2 weeks of paid on the job training.
Essential Position Functions
- Inspect and exchange residential and light commercial electric meters.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations in place with 100% accuracy
- Provide and communicate accurate meter readings
Requirements:
- HS Diploma/GED
- Valid Driver's License with no more than 4 points
- Reliable transportation
- Car insurance/ Reliable Cell Phone
- Ability to organize tasks well
- Detail-oriented
- Strong time-management skills
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Hourly plus productivity bonus and company car after training period is complete.

COVID-19 considerations:
Meter Installers work independently outdoors where risks of contagion are very low. When restocking supplies or during meetings indoors, masks are required.
